Cookie policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies Storka (storka.pl) uses. The controller is [Imię i nazwisko], [adres do korespondencji], e-mail: kontakt@storka.pl.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. Browser storage (localStorage) works similarly. They let us remember, for example, that you are signed in.

2. Strictly necessary (always on)

sb-…-auth-token (Supabase): your sign-in session, until you sign out or the session expires.

NEXT_LOCALE: your chosen language, until you close the browser.

Access cookie for a gift protected by a password or question: remembers the correct answer, up to 1 year.

storka_consent: your cookie choice, 1 year.

storka-guide (browser storage): whether the panel guide was shown.

These need no consent (Art. 399(3) of the Polish Electronic Communications Law) because the Service does not work without them.

3. Statistics (consent only)

Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.): cookies _ga and _ga_<ID>, up to 2 years. They measure visits to Storka pages (not gift pages). Google receives, among other things, a truncated IP address and device and browser type; data may be transferred to the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More: policies.google.com/privacy.

Vercel Web Analytics (Vercel Inc.): stores no cookies or IP addresses; counts page views using an anonymised identifier that resets daily.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without consent these tools are not loaded at all.

4. Gift pages and third-party services

Gift pages viewed by Recipients have no statistics and no banner. If a gift contains a map, the browser connects to the map provider (Google Maps or OpenStreetMap), which may receive the IP address. Payments are handled by Stripe on its own page, with its own cookies.

5. How to change your mind

Click “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page and change your choice. When you withdraw consent we delete the Google Analytics cookies and reload the page. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings; you will then be signed out.

The Privacy policy explains how we process personal data.
